Child Care R&R for Client Employees
You must be employed by one of The Family & Workplace Connection’s corporate clients in order to receive this service. If you are not, explore our services available to the public.
Finding quality child care is time-consuming. The goal of our the Child Care Resource and Referral Service is to minimize the time and ease the anxiety related to searching for child care. Studies have shown that this service saves between 15 and 20 hours of legwork—two full working days!
Whether you have a complex set of needs (children of different ages, recently relocated, etc.) or you just don’t know where to start and don’t have time, this service is for you. Here’s how it works:
-
Complete the online referral request form or call 888-390-2900. Once we confirm that your employer is a corporate client, we will connect you with a child care specialist.
-
In the initial phone conversation, you will describe your needs to the specialist. The specialist provides support, guidance, and advice on a variety of topics: pros and cons of different types of care options, how to choose quality care, how to ease your child’s transition into child care, and more.
-
The specialist helps you identify the best kind of care to meet your needs, then conducts a customized search of our extensive database to identify providers that meet your criteria. Searches can be conducted on such criteria as street location, provider qualifications, fees, non-smoking environment, pets, pool, meals served, and much more.
-
The specialist calls the providers to verify the information, determines whether they have a vacancy for your child, and inquires about any special issues of interest to you. Within two working days, the specialist sends you detailed profiles of at least three to five providers that meet your specific needs and have openings. You also receive a comprehensive handbook on choosing quality care, plus other helpful materials.
-
Within 10 days, your specialist calls you to check on the progress of your search. She will continue to counsel you on options and provide more referrals if necessary. Your specialist will keep in contact, conducting additional research as needed, until your child care situation is resolved to your satisfaction.
